Ingrid Michaelson

Few months ago, a friend of mine told me about Ingrid Michaelson. She's an indie artist with a soft palette of tones and subtle creativity for lyrics. Her music's cheerful and it makes for a warm coffee-house atmosphere with modern sensitivity. 'You and I' was the first song of hers I ever listened. But when I heard the song for the first time, it had such strange familiarity. And it grew on me instantaneously. Perhaps it was because of the title, which is the same as one of Jason Mraz's singles, or because of the ukelele and the nature of its simple melody. Anywho, I dig it.

Now, the only thing she could do to really hit homerun for me is to write a song about zombies. I wish she'd write a song about zombies falling in love. Oh, how I would swoon.
